Richard Bartholomew is a recognized leader in Orthopaedic Surgery. Prior to practicing Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, Dr. Bartholomew attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Bartholomew’s career brought him to St. John Health System-Oakland Hospital for his residency.

Today, Dr. Bartholomew sub-specializes in surgery of the shoulder and knee using the latest technological advancements. These include minimally invasive techniques, arthoroscopy joint replacement, and computer assisted surgery.
